Power supply for the gas column

One of the ranges of gas columns common now is electrical. In this case, the device works often from batteries that regularly have to replace. If the column owner does not want to devote the time for replacing the batteries or spend on batteries, there is an alternative in the form of a power supply.

How to connect?

If you purchased the finished block for the column, first remove the compartment with the batteries from the heater, clicking it into the hand. Next, connect the terminals of the purchased block to the terminals that were connected to the battery box. Do not forget to take into account the polarity of the terminals. Next, the unit is included in the network and the column can be used for the purpose.

How to make your own hands?

By purchasing a standard power supply for 3-5V, you can redo it for use in the gas column, but for this should also be prepared:

  • Two "dad" type terminals.
  • Isolate or heat shrink tube.
  • Soldering iron.
  • Stabilizer (if your block has more than 3B).
  • Wire (if need its extension).

I cut off the plug of the block and, if necessary, to drop the stabilizer, the "dad" terminals should be soldered on the wires (to each wire a separate terminal), because the wires previously connected to the battery container were already available with a container of the batteries, there are already two Mom terminals. Connecting the terminal polarity with each other, wrap them with a heat shrinking or tape.
