Principle of operation
The inlet valve has two functional states - closed (it happens more often) and open. Also widespread valves with three coils. The number of coils corresponds to the number of sections in the valve, through which water is proceed in the dispenser.
Models with a single coil are found in older washing machines, in which the work is controlled by the registry preparation (the water jet is sent to the dispenser mechanically). In modern machines, valves with two and three coils are installed.

In models in which the underwear is loaded vertically, the dummy valve is also in the back of the apparatus, but at the bottom. To access the valve, the machine disconnects part of the side wall.
How to check fit?
To check the health of the filler valve, the part must be removed, and then connect the hose to the valve, as well as submit a voltage to each section. If the valve works, it will open for water intake. After stopping the supply of 220 V, the valve must close and do not pass water. It is necessary to perform such a check very carefully, as the item will be under the current and when the water is hit, a short circuit may occur.
Checking the inlet valve will also include such steps:
- Inspection of the valve grid in order to identify a blockage. If the grid turned out to be contaminated, it should be achieved and clean, and then return to the place.
- Additional check using the tester. It will be needed if the valve has not opened at the supply of electricity. The multimeter will measure resistance and will show, whether the coil did not overcome. In the working coil, the resistance will be from 2 to 4 com.
- Checking the presence of plastic inserts in the fittings. Such rates are designed to prevent the water intake inside with an unnecessary high pressure. If the inserts fell out, the valve is replaced.
Is it possible to repair?
The dummy valves in their structure refer to non-separable parts, so their repair is often impossible. You can try to replace the blown coil by removing the working coil from the same valve. However, in most cases, such actions do not bring results. The best way out will buy a new valve and its full replacement.
Repairs
Most often, the idea that the inlet valve does not work, appears in the situation when the water in the washing machine is not recruited at all. To repair such a detail, you can call the wizards or try to replace the valve on your own.

Replacement

- Next, you need to promote bolts that hold the item or remove the latches (in some models they fix the valve).
- Rotating the valve, it is taken out, after which a new intake valve is inserted into its place.
