To begin with, use the mounting knife to separate the wallpaper from the panel. The main thing is not to damage the wall, therefore, removing the plinth with the help of a nail, attach a wooden bar in the wall as a support. Gently remove the old nails, trying not to destroy the layer of plaster.
Choose two bars to the new plinth:
- square with an edge of 10 mm;
- Trapezoid in cross section with a height of 10 mm.
Square lumps stick to the top edge of the plinth from the back side. Hold the workpiece by clamps, for example, spring clamps, and leave until complete drying of the glue.
Drill and sprinkle a few holes in the second bar. Attach it with screws with a narrow base to the wall, pre-measuring the height of its location relative to the lower edge of the plinth. Now lay the electric pipe into the resulting pockets.
Important: Under the plinth, you can remove only the wiring, which, according to the safety rules, it is allowed to lay in places with a lack of access.
It remains only to drill holes in the plinth and fasten it with screws to a wide bar fixed on the wall.
