Contemporary- new, progressive) is a rather extensive term applied to a wide range of currents in modern interior design, and uniting many innovations of the last 10 years in the world of style and design. Obviously, classic and traditional styles are not included in this group, as well as styles sending to a certain era. The ideal description of the qualities of this direction would be simplicity, minimalism, ergonomics and practicality, the use of recent technologies and bold solutions.

- the desire for perfectionism, correct and direct forms;
- Many hidden and built-in elements for saving space, both physical and visual.
Interiors of Contmoporo often combine some opposite elements of various past eras, collecting all the best from their point of view, and cutting off excessively and non-functional. Depending on the specific situation, contemporaries may include minimalistic motives, and folk-ethnic, borrow ideas from decorative forms of architecture and classicism, combine environmentally friendly furniture and new generation gadgets. Quite often, the contemporary negleces the reference of expensive materials and furniture in favor of simple and cheap samples from popular stores, which is a confirmation of the fact that this direction refers to mass culture.
It is worth sticking to smooth and correct forms, abandon the complex lines and figures, the geometry of the premises must be performed in one tone, and all the elements that make it up to obey the symmetry rule, both relative to each other and relative to the symmetry center.
Gamma and color
The color scheme of the background varies from the achromatic shades to brown, beige and other neutral colors. This allows not only to increase the impression of minimalism, but also to emphasize the furniture and accessories painted in bright colors. The walls are quite often or monochrome with paint, or are glued into simple wallpapers with minimal visual load. For flooring, non-contrast shades tree and dull tile without drawings are often used.
