A familiar situation when the baby ran out of the water and should be wrapped in a warm towel. But the towel is so uncomfortable. For some reason, it unfolds and constantly falls. With comfortable poncho, which can be sewed with your own hands, this will not happen.
Required materials and tools:
- large bath towel;
- small hand towel;
- threads;
- sewing machine.
Making a hood
Fold a small hand towel in half. You can use the edges of the towel as the edge, then they will not need to be converted. At the top. Put the pattern of the hood and pin it with needles.
Cut the hood, leaving on the edges of the allowances on the seam.
Purge the outer edge of the hood in the direction of the arrings specified in the figure. We used 6 mm stacking. At first, they were stripped in one direction by Zigzag, then they turned around and made another straight seam.
Poncho manufacturing
Fold a large towel in half in length. Then find the center of the folded edge. To make it easier, just fold the towel again and indicate the center in this way.
To make the cutout pattern for poncho, use the cutout of any T-shirt as a template. You can make a cut out.
Now expand the cutout. By the front of the ellipse (in the figure is shown by arrows), cut the necklaces. Treat zigzag. Turn and make a straight line.
Connection of parts
Now on the back of the ellipse, find the middle and mark it with a needle. Then connect the center of the hood with the designated center, chop them with the front sides to each other.

Seving pocket
It's time to add pocket.
Cut on the sample pocket, adding a little for points on the seams. Where the appendix are shown in the figure, over and process the edges.
Determine the place where your pocket will be located. Then, leaving the top of the pocket in place, lift the entire pocket up in the direction of the hood so that the parts are located face to each other. Sewage on the upper edge of the pocket with a 6 mm seam.
Then expand the pocket down and place in those places where the arrows are drawn, leaving the two holes above open.
