Acrylic baths have fairly thin walls and require reliable support. Installing an acrylic bath is possible in several ways: using the factory frame, which comes in the kit, or on bricks. There is still a combined option - when the framework is used, backing the bottom in some places with bricks. This method is needed if the bottom turned out to be too thin and "plays" under his feet.
The frame or legs to the acrylic bath sometimes come in the kit, sometimes in the extended configuration. The difference between the legs and the frame is significant, and not only in price. The legs mounted on the planks are attached only to the reinforced DNU, usually for two or four self-pressing. At the same time remain without support (bottom photo on the left). In the case of acrylic baths there is one nuance: before applying the sealant, they are filled with water, and in such a state, the composition is left to polymerize. Otherwise, with a set of water and increasing the load on the side, microcracks will appear on it, which will fall water.
A few words about how the sealant is better to use when choking the joint of the bath and walls. The best option is a sealant for aquariums. It is no less durable than plumbing, but has some additives, thanks to which it does not mold, does not change the color and does not bloom.
