Required materials and tools:

The first thing to do is to determine which dimensions will be a belt buckle made by your own hands. In our case, it is 67x48 mm, the workpiece should be slightly larger, so that later it is possible to cut to the exact form. We decided to make several buckles: from jewelry (in this case, yellowed sheet) and inserts from paper printouts (or stickers). From above, everything is covered with a decorative resin.
Coating resin
When working with this material, it is best to follow the instructions that are written exactly on your packaging. Sometimes it is necessary to apply 2 layers, sometimes more. Often the resin goes in a set with a hardener.
Attention! Do not neglect the descriptions specified in the instructions. Pour the resin (if you need to mix with the hardener) into the cooked container, slightly heat in warm water so that it becomes viscous. Stir the stick. Now pour a little bit on the buckle and swear evenly over the entire surface.

Now, from above, you can put either a leaf or blanks - drawings, photos, etc. And on top to cover the resin.
For some time, you can move the drawing with a stick, if it is necessary to accommodate it more correctly. Leave buckles dry overnight.
Preparation of belt
Staining the belt is a kind of prophylactic and restoring agent. There is a special leather oil that softens it and cares for her - it is a special oil from cattle legs (Neatsfoot Oil), although today this oil is in pure form today. If you manage to find - excellent, if not, you can use analogue - lanolin or mink oil. Apply the oil on the belt with a soft tissue. Put lying in the sun or under the lamp.
Strap ready
It remains for a belt buckle, made with their own hands to attach to the belt itself. If you just decorated the buckle, i.e. She went along with the belt - just put it in place. If this is a new buckle, you may need to make additional holes or shorten the length of the belt.
