Homemade garage crane
Those who are engaged in the repair of cars in one jack can not do. To pull the engine you need a crane. Of course, this option is not needed as bridge cranes in the garage, and here is a reduced and upgraded version, yes, it is also collapsible, it is useful to many car enthusiasts and not only.
And this is not an industrial product. This crane beam was made by one craftsmen in his garage with their own hands.

As the main materials used:
- For a transverse bar, solidized labor with a diameter of 100mm and a long 4150mm.
- For support rod tubes with a diameter of 110 mm (cut a piece of 1,1200 mm into two identical parts.
- Fastening bolts of supports to the rod M: 16.
- Racks are made of square pipes 100x100mm with a length of 2350 mm.
- Ski and base is a corner of 100x100mm.
Rollers installed on the crane-beam are the part of the drive of elevator doors. They are attached to a 50mm metal strip and welded on a mustache barbell and one of the supports of the rod.
The size of this crane-beam is not chosen by chance. This model is designed to work with passenger cars.
The mobility of the design is provided by the usual rollers from the warehouse container welded to vertical stands.
The disassembled design of our crane-beam occupies quite a bit.
The lifting mechanism is the usual worm-type manual winch welded to a vertical rack. Its lifting capacity is somewhere around 800kg. As a steel cable drive.
It is possible to adapt the electrolyber if desired, but there is no particular need for this.
The presented design is not a dogma. This option was manufactured under certain tasks and existing material. The engine of any passenger car pulls out easily, the Volga behind the hood calmly raises. On sale, if you search, you can find a similar crane of industrial production, but the price will be decent. The idea is offered to you, but you want it to realize your business.
